8 October “Metamorfosi Visuali” opening solo show by Luciano Caggianello
On the occasion of the 18th CONTEMPORARY DAY, organized by A.M.A.C.I Association of Italian Contemporary Art Museums we show “METAMORFOSI VISUALI,” a solo exhibition by Luciano Caggianello.
We present Luciano Caggianello and his conceptual works, for the first time in our gallery after getting to know and explore his work and personality at the ArtRise award. Amiamo la semplicità diretta ed ingegnosa che si fà arte nel sottolineare un messaggio per renderlo visibile. Caggianello’s is definitely a visual metamorphosis where the Open Art House space is transformed into a Wunderkammer.
Like compasses thrown between two dots, so words intersperse two constricting verbal senses. I regret nothing but having to take my leave and the little space left before turning the page….
Luciano Caggianello (Turin – Italy), born in Siena in 1959, is an artist and designer who began his activity in the 1980s interacting with different professional fields : Advertising, Illustration, Graphics and Design (industrial and car-design). At the same time he undertakes a path of artistic research that lead him to evolve different representational and visual themes, allowing him to validate also an articulated national and international exhibition itinerary. In parallel, he is also accompanied in this path by the publication of a number of books that serve as an aid to reflection and deepening about his own conceptual and philosophical research.
In recent years his reconnaissance has essentially become a work of prevailing perceptual and conceptual synthesis that reworks all the educational, cultural and intellectual interactions also coming from his different educational fields (from Applied Industrial Physics, to Architecture, to Visual ). Moreover, such an approach, identifying the artistic goal of thematic-conceptual design and experimentation sandwiched between concrete “poverism” and digital art, turns out to be much more referring and pertaining to concepts of presentation than of representation.
