26.03 h.16.30 Villa Vallero a mio padre
mostra tributo ad Eugenio Guarini
On Sunday, March 26 in the city of Rivarolo Canavese at 4:30 p.m., the opening of the exhibition in tribute to Eugenio Guarini, my father, will take place at the exhibition spaces of Villa Vallero.
This exhibition was also the result of the work of curating, cataloging and archiving the artist’s artistic and philosophical repertoire that his family has been lovingly carrying out for years, and it is intended to be seen as an itinerant journey among the places dear to Eugenio, as a fond farewell to those who will be pleased to participate. The first stop on this journey was at the Eporedesian gallery Open Art House, to which the artist was very close, which will continue to support the family in organizing this new event.
This second stage will preserve the main exhibition nucleus of the first exhibition: 12 works considered representative of Guarini’s volcanic and eclectic production since some characteristic stylistic-thematic nuclei such as female figures, landscapes, abstracts and monochromatics have been chosen. Some unpublished works will also be featured. Rivarolo Canavese was ‘home’ for Eugenio Guarini for a long time: he taught there for years at the Aldo Moro Scientific High School, lived with Gioia and appreciated every sunrise and sunset; this exhibition will be like returning to a beloved place after a long journey, and for this opportunity we thank immensely the City of Rivarolo Canavese, the Department of Culture for the contribution, the Municipal Library of the city of Rivarolo Canavese, the Aldo Moro Scientific High School and the alumni association.
The opening will be held on Sunday, March 26, at 4:30 p.m. Interventions by Monica Cremaschi (OpenArtHouse),Chiara Guarini and Sandra Baruzzi will follow. Sandra Baruzzi is a well-known artist and teacher of ceramics and design-her works are part of private and public collections. An independent curator, she intervenes in the artistic and literary fields by publishing books and participating in national and international multidisciplinary exhibitions and events. At 6 p.m. there will be a poetry reading from one of the books written by Guarini, Da qui a lì (Giraldi, 2014), performed and performed by Mara Risitano and Matteo Mo, professional actors and directors, friends and collectors of Eugenio.
