LINSIEME
Solo exhibition by Amina Barosi
Saturday 12 October at 5pm Opening
[exhibition from 12.10 to 12.11]
LINSIEME is a video installation based on the artist’s latest years of research, sealing an initial enquiry into the dimension of human beings made up of body, soul and spirit. Inseparable materials that go hand in hand but with different destinations. An anthropological work, to frame the original mapping of human beings.
A journey towards the roots of our essence, to rediscover the balance that was once lost. Milestones that challenge common places to find a new positioning.
For Amina Barosi, this exhibition marks a defining moment in her artistic journey, based on personal experiences and acting as a springboard for research into contemporary dialogues.
Amina Barosi is part of the SVA collective and like every member of this group, her artworks feature a Bible Code: a biblical principle which acts as both foundation and thread during the creative process.
On display at the Open Art House gallery, there are four site specific video installations to be enjoyed in different locations with headphones: an intimate dialogue with the Artist.
During the Contemporary Day organized by A.M.A.C.I, Amina Barosi’s exhibition will inaugurate this part of OAH’s recurring exhibition season.
During the inauguration ‘Heart of an Orphan’ by/with Carmen Tedeschi, part of the S139 ensemble, will be performed.
Cenni biografici su Amina Barosi
Following a stay in the Arab States, she becomes acquaintedwith the expressive styles of the East, then moves to California, and completes her studies at the Liceo Artistico Hayech in Milan. Enrolled at the
Politecnico of Milan, in the Architecture Faculty, she simultaneously follows evening classes at the Accademia of Belle Arti of Brera.
She defines herself as being in constant development as she considers this to be the best attitude to rejuvenate the spirit and nourish life seeking not a final result but experiencing the action of the moment as a precious opportunity to raise one’s spirit. The hand produces a condition of the heart on the canvas, not by covering it with colour, but by trying to dig a way out of it, a window to Heaven, leaving traces of light for the beholder and looking for The Way that Jesus Christ spoke of while referring to himself as the Truth and the Fullness of Life.
