Luciano Caggianello born in Siena in 1959, is an artist and designer who began his activity in the 1980s interacting with different professional fields : Advertising, Illustration, Graphics and Design (industrial and car-design). At the same time he embarked on a path of artistic research that, after initial and assiduous attendance at the Academy as well as studios and ateliers of artists in Turin, led him to evolve different representative and visual themes, allowing him to validate also an articulated national and international exhibition itinerary, such as to make him by now a recognized and historicized artist.
He is also supported in this journey by the publication of a number of books (“Immaterial Intermediary” 2003, “Words Elsewhere” 2014, “Aporia and Metamorphosis of Art” 2019, “Phenomenology of the Quotidian 2020, “Advertising .jPig” 2021) that serve as an aid to reflection and deepening about his own conceptual and philosophical research.
In recent years his reconnaissance has essentially become a work of prevailing perceptual and conceptual synthesis that reworks all the educational, cultural and intellectual interactions also coming from his different educational fields (from Applied Industrial Physics, to Architecture, to Visual ). Moreover, such an approach, identifying the artistic goal of thematic-conceptual design and experimentation placed between concrete “poverism” and digital art, turns out to be much more referring and related to concepts of presentation than representation.
He lives and works in Turin.
